THE COVEN

Over a devilish bottle of red wine, Isabelle and Opi co-founded WITCH Magazine with a vision to create a publication that embraces boundless imagination and challenges traditional categories. Their goal is to explore and critically analyze the interconnected systems of oppression (patriarchy, white supremacy, imperialism, and capitalism) and to examine how both oppression and resistance appear across politics, popular culture, art, fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment. Through this lens, Witch Magazine invites readers to rethink power structures and celebrate creative forms of defiance and transformation.

Bottom line, at WITCH we believe the world could use a bit more magical thinking.

A note from Peggy Dobbins

WHICH MAGAscene will WITCH Magazine first address,  ignore, make disappear?

w i t c h knows/nose/no’s digitalis/digit all is poisonous and which is medicinal.

I hope one thing for which you wish W.I.T.C.H. internettingly heard

W.I.T.C.H. (Women’s International Twenty-first Century HEARD)

If you see what you think,

— what you’ve tried to say,

what you’ve said as best you can again and again and

it seems no one ever heard you, —

If you see what you think here,

If you see it here, someone here heard you.

Maybe not directly, maybe not in your language,

maybe not even as you would want it said, but, yes,

what  you want to be heard.

Someone who did hear you,

who overheard you, someone you don’t know, who

doesn’t know you, someone someone here heard

and posted what they heard, what they think they

heard, what they heard made them think

If you see what you think here,

someone here heard you.

When enough of us have heard enough, yes,

W.I.T.C.H. becomes a Women’s International Twenty-first Century HERD

roaring racing spinning our globe upside down,

saving humanity for our children and land

and water and air and science and art and

each other, our selves.
